Opening Comments
New Crop 2026 Contracts
We have been receiving a high volume of inquiries regarding new crop contracts, particularly for specialty grains. At this time, no new crop contracts are available; however, we expect offers to come to market during this year’s Crop Production Show, taking place January 13–15 in Saskatoon, or on the Monday following the conclusion of the exhibition. Once available, new crop contracts will be posted front and center on the daily for your marketing convenience
In the meantime, growers may wish to consider registering and posting new-crop offers on our trading platform with an Act of God provision. Coverage is typically 10–15 bu/ac, with some buyers potentially offering 20–25 bu/ac, though this remains to be confirmed. In today’s market, being proactive rather than reactive is critical, as pricing opportunities can disappear quickly.
