Opening Comments

Welcome back, everyone! What day is it, anyway? I always seem to lose track of time this time of year, but as best I can tell it’s Monday. The exact date remains unknown, though it certainly feels like we’re closing in on turning the calendar to 2026.

We are open for business, albeit a little short-staffed as many of our colleagues enjoy some well-deserved time off with family. Please note it has been a few days since our last grain bid sheet update, and some prices may be slightly out of line. We’ll be actively working on this throughout the week so that, heading into the new year, everything is aligned with current market values.

On the hockey front, Canada is off to a 2–0 start at the IIHF U20 tournament, avenging Czechia in game one and grinding out a greasy 2–1 overtime win against Latvia. Canada faces Denmark this evening in game three. As I recall, matchups against Denmark or Latvia used to feel like guaranteed wins; however, player development in non-traditional hockey countries has come a long way—often at our expense. There are no easy wins left in this tournament & good luck to fellas in the red & white the rest of of the tournament.

Johnstons 12 3 Days of Chemical Inputs SALE!

Santa and his elves have been grinding overtime this Christmas season to make sure everyone gets what they ordered… but you know how that goes. A few last-minute changes, a few too many double eggnogs and suddenly the elves have made way too much. Lucky for you, that means we’re rolling out some great year-end Christmas offers. If you’ve still got a little room left in your stocking, you’re going to want to check out Johnston’s Grain’s 12 Days of Christmas below!

The BIGGEST AnneMaxx Promotion Ever Offered

This is not a routine booking program, this is the largest promotion Johnston’s Regenerative has ever offered on the AnneMaxx Regenerative Product line.

For a limited time, farmers can lock in 10% off AnneMaxx products when orders are placed and paid in full using:

  • Cash
  • Financing through Farm Credit Canada (FCC)
  • Scotia Credit financing

The Gold Tier offer is available exclusively during our Fall Booking Window, created to reward producers who plan ahead and invest in soil health before the next growing season. AnneMaxx products are engineered to restore soil function by enhancing biology, freeing up tied nutrients, strengthening root systems, and reducing reliance on costly synthetic inputs. This promotion makes adopting regenerative tools more accessible and more affordable than ever.

If you’ve been considering upgrading your soil health program, reducing fertilizer pressure, or transitioning toward regenerative practices, this is the time to act. This promotion will not be repeated at this level. Contact your Johnston’s representative today to secure your allocation and take advantage of this historic offer.
