Why Fall Soil Sampling Matters
Fall is the single best time to capture a true snapshot of your soil health.
Once the snow flies and the ground freezes, the window closes—and with it, your chance to gather the data that drives smarter fertility planning for spring.
Here’s why timing matters:
1) Cooler soils, steadier results: In fall, microbial activity slows, so nutrients like N, P, and K aren’t constantly shifting the way they do in spring.
2) Stable moisture levels: After harvest, soil moisture evens out, giving a clearer snapshot of what’s actually in the soil and not what’s just moving through it.
3) Planning advantage: Fall samples give you time to analyze results, make changes, and secure products before spring rush.
In short: Fall soil samples tell the truth. They reveal your baseline fertility—the foundation for accurate, confident fertility planning.
Don’t wait until frost sets in. A few hours spent sampling this fall can save thousands next season.
Contact us today to schedule your fall soil sampling before the window closes!
Heading to Agri-Trade in Red Deer this year?
Be sure to stop by Annelida Soil Solutions – Booth #152 in the Centrium Concourse, November 5–7! Bring your soil samples and completed fertility questionnaires — we’ll collect them and send them to Dr. Karthi’s lab for testing at Croplands Analytics. Once results are in, you’ll receive a comprehensive overview of your soil health along with a custom regenerative fertility plan tailored to your operation.
Visit us at Agri-Trade and start building a healthier, more resilient soil system today!
Fall Soil Sampling Program
We’re currently running our fall soil sampling program and our team are on the ground pulling samples in Alberta and Western Saskatchewan. After soil sampling, we send sample to the Croplands Analytics lab in Tofield, AB for a Full Spectrum Analysis. And, if you’re willing to fill out a 2025 fertility questionnaire our team will return you an Advanced Fertility Recommendation designed to lower your crop input costs and rehabilitate challenging soil conditions, all the while maintaining or increasing yield. Through the use of our novel crop input products like vermicastings biology from Annelida, activated Calcium from Croplands Solution, and Humic Substances from BlackEarth, we’re able to make a low-cost and high-impact remediations to your soil.
Many of you will remember Dr. Karthi Narayanan from our 2025 Soil Health Events. If you attended one of these events, you will remember the value that Full Spectrum Analysis and Advanced Fertility Recommendations offer to your farm. We deployed our Advanced Fertility Recommendations on over 1,000,000 acres of crop and hay this year and the results have been outstanding. We were able to reduce several farms crop input bills by $25-$50/acre without sacrificing any yield and while making a lasting investment in soil health. Many of these farms also experienced large yield increases
How to participate:
- Send soil samples to Cropland Analytics (Dr. Karthi’s Lab) – 9068 51st Ave NW, Edmonton, AB T6E 5X4.
- Submit your fertility program.
- Receive a custom review from Dr. Karthi and his team.
💲 $120/sample
🎁 Bonus: Submit both your sample and fertility form by Nov. 15 for a chance to win a FREE Rhyz Seed Enhancement Kit (valued at $1,250).
We’re here to complement your agronomist, not replace them, bringing added focus to soil biology and regenerative outcomes.
