Herbicide Pricing Update
We’ve updated pricing on several of our core products and wanted to ensure you have the most current numbers:
• Glyphosate 540 (RT 540): $5.29/L
• Glufosinate 150 (Liberty): $4.19/L
• Glufosinate 200: $5.29/L
Our goal is to continue providing farms with the most competitive pricing on the market. These adjustments allow us to maintain both value and product quality. As always, quantity discounts, bundling options available.
If you’re planning ahead for next season or looking to secure supply early, now is a great time to connect. 1.833.324.7778
T.S.P vs M.A.P
TSP (Triple Superphosphate) is a granular phosphate fertilizer source that we’re now retailing at Johnston’s Grain. We can deliver bulk super B loads direct to farm at superior pricing to MAP. TSP is a superior phosphate source and one of the simplest solutions for improving biological function in soil and improving overall soil health. No changes to equipment are required. Simply swap this product in where you were using MAP in the past.
Are you buying phosphate fertilizer for application this fall or spring of 2026?
- We’re currently offering TSP at a $50-$100/t discount to Western Canadian MAP suppliers, including the cost of delivery to your farm.
Even large fertilizer producers acknowledge that TSP is agronomically superior to MAP. However, these companies state that the cost of production of TSP is higher than MAP and the savings on MAP usually make it a better choice for Western Canadian farms. Given that we can supply this product at a lower cost, farmers should be using TSP as a replacement for MAP. https://www.cropnutrition.com/resource-library/triple-superphosphate
This is a superior phosphate source for all crops grown in Western Canada. It is low-salt index (10-12), slow-releasing, less acidic, and contains 15% calcium – a crucial plant nutrient that is difficult and expensive to supplement. More than 75% of soils in Western Canada have a base saturation rate of Calcium that is below the minimum target range of 40%, thus making the calcium in TSP highly valuable. TSP is a less-soluble phosphate source which is less prone to leaching and run-off and acts as a slow-release product, ensuring that P is available at the reproductive stage (flowering/podding/seed formation), when it’s needed most. TSP is especially valuable for pulse and brassica growers for this reason.
Let’s discuss lowering the cost of your entire Pulse Crop Rotation by bundling the following products:
- TSP – Triple Superphosphate ($50.00-$100.00/t savings compared to MAP)
- BOS Inoculant – Dual Strain Granular, Liquid, and Peat options ($6.60-$8.34/acre, $4.00-$6.00/acre savings off of competitors)
- Rhyz Seed Enhancer ($1.25/bushel, $2.00-$3.00/bushel saving off of pink/blue fungicidal seed treatments)
- Sulfentrazone Herbicide ($8.00/acre, $6.00/acre saving off of branded)
Save $15-$25/acre in your cost of production by bunding these products through Johnston’s Grain
TSP Analysis:
46% P205
15% Calcium
Other Notables:
TSP has a fertilizer salt index rating of 10-12 vs MAP which has a fertilizer salt index rating of 30-32.
TSP contains 15% Calcium which is a key plant nutrient that most soils are deficient in and is very costly to supplement.
TSP Pricing:
Alberta: $1190/t
Saskatchewan: $1210/t
Manitoba: $1230/t
All prices include the cost of delivery to farm.
Quantity and Bundling discounts are available.
